Filling My Father’s Shoes.

Posted in Uncategorized by Arthur Hitchcock Photography on April 2, 2010

My father was a Professional Photographer in Iowa, He shot for the local magazines, newspapers, phonebooks, his own business, and even made it with TIME. He was an award winning photographer, frequenting the Iowa State Fair and various national competitions.  He was a true master of the darkroom and of traditional B&W photography. He passed away in 1994, when I was only two, so I never got to know him, except through his work. A memorial award in his honor has been given years since at the state fair, and now it hangs proudly in my own darkroom. His craft has always been an inspiration to me and will remain visible in my own photographs. Thank you for what you have given me.
